Hanuman

Hanuman- Audio Expert

Hanuman became interested in audio recording traveling in undeveloped areas of the world - which opened his eyes to the need for preservation of traditions as technology penetrates and inevitably changes the lifestyle. With cultural preservation in mind, Hanuman has been growing a repository for his recordings of elders singing their childhood songs. At Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute he worked as an audio engineer on the production of Molecularium, a planetarium shown in venues across the country. He developed and participated in The Wisdom Preservation Project, recording interviews with Buddhist masters in Myanmar. Hanuman is a graduate of the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies. After getting his M.A. in Media Arts from Emerson College he started More Than Sound Productions.

Tracy

Tracy- Graphic Designer

Tracy Lee is the graphic czar for More Than Sound. She received her undergraduate degree in Fine Arts from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago, and continued her studies in Graphic Design at Mass College of Art. Tracy is a native of the Pioneer Valley and local freelance artist currently residing in Northampton. She also enjoys working in video production and Flash animation.

Mike

Mike- PR/Marketing

Mike’s responsible for getting the word out about More Than Sound. No, he doesn’t just gossip on the streets or hand out flyers. He develops story pitches and sales plans, and manages our Facebook, Twitter and YouTube accounts. Mike has over 12 years of copywriting, technical and educational writing experience. He earned a communication and sociology degree from Central Connecticut State University, and a Technical Communication Certification from California State University, Sacramento.

 

J Holt

J Holt- Podcast Manager/Audio Editor

When he's not working on the podcast, or editing audio, for More Than Sound, J Holt is a Hartford based, freelance public radio producer. A graduate of the documentary radio program at the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies, in Portland, ME, he contributes stories to WNPR's Small Business Project, and has assisted with the production of Where We Live and The Colin McEnroe Show. His work has also aired on Maine Public Radio, and been featured at the Maine State Museum.

Max

Max- Communications

Max handles communications for More Than Sound. A graduate of St. John's College and the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies, Max has written award-winning news stories and a long series of documentary pieces on small agriculture in the Hilltowns of Western Mass. His interest in the communication of spirituality led him to More Than Sound.

Maggie

Maggie- Accounting Expert

Maggie takes care of taxes and keeping the numbers in line. She is a graduated from Smith College with a degree in Mathematics and Russian Civilization, from Western New England College with an MBA and from Golden Gate University with a Masters in Tax. She currently resides in Agawam with her husband and three kids.

Lyon

Lyon- Audio Expert

Lyon does exceptional audio editing for More Than Sound. He's a semi-professional , multi-instrumentalist musician - playing clarinet, guitar, and harmonica for the popular band The Leisure Class and touring with JP Harris and the Tough Choices. Lyon was born and raised in western Mass. He also builds amazing pedals and amps for guitarists - found at stationaudio.net/home.
